Sheraton Towers Singapore

Located on Scott’s Road, just 10 minutes from the busy Orchard Road shopping and entertainment precinct, the Sheraton Towers Singapore is a must-visit, luxury 5-star hotel in Singapore. We checked-in as part of our Vegan Food Quest to find, eat and write about the best vegan food in the world, did we find some of it here? We absolutely did! The hotel has got everything you need when you’re staying in a city like Singapore; a nice pool for relaxing and cooling off from the city heat, well-equipped gym, luxurious spa and selection of restaurants to eat in, the staff were really helpful and understanding of our veganism and everything ran really smoothly during our stay.

The Vegan Food

To put it simply, we were really impressed with the vegan food on offer at the Sheraton Towers Singapore. Our vegan breakfast was nothing short of phenomenal. What really stood out was the extra effort the chef had gone to in order to make vegan dishes for us, there had clearly been a lot of preparation and the results were a banquet of healthy, nutritious, comforting and indulgent, tasty vegan foods. We love fresh fruit and vegetable juices and smoothies, so we happy to fill up on these 3 beauties; a classic ‘ABC’ (apple, carrot and beetroot), tropical pineapple, papaya and lime and a strawberry and banana smoothie, as expected, there was tons of fresh fruit to choose from (the mango being particularly wonderful). We had some specially made vegan granola, which was a nice touch, full of goodness and tasted good too. So far, so good (and all what you might expect from a luxury hotel of this standard). Then something amazing happened, we were served vegan pancakes. Yes, normally only the kind of thing you’d get in a specifically vegan restaurant or cafe (and sadly not in enough of them) these vegan pancakes were a delicious surprise that made us feel like very honoured guests. Healthy from wholewheat and moist from fresh blueberries, they were held together with apple sauce, a masterpiece in eggless vegan pancake baking!

And as if we weren’t amazed enough, we were then served a giant plate of vegan cake. Spiced banana bread to be exact; crumbly and light but with a rich sweetness and whole grains for extra texture, this was next a level amazing vegan breakfast extravaganza. As we hail from the little island of England, the chef had prepared some sautéed mushrooms and potatoes for us, the mushrooms were cooked with fresh thyme and garlic (a perfect combination) and  the duo of little sautéed potatoes with tomatoes and caramelised onions were so, so good. This was all served with fresh, wholemeal rosemary bread, this is just the kind of food we’d eat at home for breakfast.

Elsewhere at Sheraton Towers Singapore, we were also really well looked after, in the Towers Executive Lounge, free-flowing vegan cocktails and beers were served to us alongside pretty vegan canapés. And there was plenty of choice (and excellent food) at ‘Li Bai’, the Sheraton Towers Singapore’s fine dining Cantonese restaurant, if you love vegan Cantonese food, have a look at our Li Bai review, because you’ll love what we ate, below is one of our favourite dishes we were served during our meal.

The Vegan Essentials

Non-feather pillows were available in the room and we really appreciated having the option to change to a non-animal based product. We weren’t able to tell if the amenities in our room were vegan so we just used our own.

The Vegan Food Quest Verdict

Check-in here for a luxury hotel stay in the centre of Singapore where the staff will make a special effort for you as vegan guests. Definitely ask them to make you some of their fabulous vegan pancakes at breakfast but make sure to leave room for all the other vegan treats on offer to you throughout your stay. An excellent vegan friendly luxury hotel stay in Singapore.
