Vegan Luxury in Vietnam
As we get near the end the of our Vegan MoFo posts, we’ve got to mention some of the Vegan Luxury we’ve been indulging in during our month in Vietnam – we dipped our toes in the pool of vegan luxury living and we liked it.
We stayed at 3 of the finest Luxury Resorts that Vietnam has to offer and enjoyed great vegan food at each of them. Vegans of the world: there’s a whole level of vegan luxury out there waiting for you so pack your bags and get ready to enter the world of the very fine side of vegan travel.
Our trio of vegan luxury stays started at the award winning The Nam Hai in Hoi An where we spent the days gazing at the ocean from our villa or the hotel pool, here is our detailed review of the The Nam Hai.
Champagne cocktails for breakfast, a variety of delicious vegan vietnamese cuisine, private infinity pools and a spa that uses vegan products – we were in vegan luxury heaven.
After this we spent 3 amazing days of vegan luxury at An Lam Villas in Ninh Van Bay, set on a peninsula only reached by private speedboat; we knew we were in for a treat as soon as we arrived, here is our detailed review of An Lam Villas.
We stayed in a Hill Top Villa (which was like a luxury treehouse) and a Lagoon Villa – both were like little vegan havens, surrounded by nature with butterflies, birds and lizards happily sharing our outdoor bathrooms. We lazed by our private pool and did more ocean gazing.
The vegan food at An Lam Villas was equally as impressive and we were treated to delicious local vietnamese food bursting with fresh herbs as well as some really exceptional western style food from their very talented chef who created an amazing beetroot dish for us as well as a fabulous pumpkin congee soup which was was delicious.
The final leg of our vegan luxury tour of Vietnam was the legendary Six Senses Ninh Van Bay which is also only reached by private speedboat transfers from the mainland, we could certainly get used to this!
Check out our detailed reviews of Six Senses Ninh Van Bay and also our vegan dining experience at Dining By The Rocks which is one of the signature restaurants.
Our beautiful Rock Villa had so many ocean views that we felt like we were part of the sea plus a private infinity pool and our own cave – yes, a cave, our villa had it’s very own cave!
Again more wonderful vegan food like this tasty dish made by Miss Hang, with teriyaki tofu, chargrilled courgette and fresh shoots from their own herb garden.
Whilst we were guests of Six Senses Ninh Van Bay they were celebrating their 10th Anniversary, and this coincided with Paul’s 45th birthday which resulted in the delivery of a vegan chocolate birthday cake – wow!
We’ll be writing more about all three of these places and telling you more about the world class vegan food they made us including a rather special dinner from two renowned chefs visiting from London who took on the challenge to make us a special vegan menu. But we wanted to give you just a small taste of vegan luxury in the meantime.
Vegans are generally super cool people who put a lot of energy into helping others and sharing the vegan love (animals, the planet, vegans and non-vegans alike) and all deserve to be spoiled every now and again with some top class vegan luxury we think.
I would never be able to afford to stay at any of those up market resorts. Still, nice to dream….
Was the birthday cake as good as it looks?
