REVĪVŌ Wellness Resort

From the moment we left the main road and entered the Balinese countryside we most certainly felt that ‘relax and rejuvenate mode’ was on. REVĪVŌ Wellness Resort is located close to Nusa Dua but it is so very different to the beach resorts that this area is famed for. Being just a 30 minute drive from Denpasar International Airport, this luxury sanctuary of 18 suites and villas feels nestled in nature, allowing us to escape from the outside world for a few days of luxury living, innovative wellness and plant based food. Ms Abel welcomed us in the tranquil lobby with warmth, and remained professional and considerate throughout our stay, leaving us to embrace everything that REVĪVŌ stands for without a care in the world. From our first lemongrass welcome drink to the gentle scent of frangipani throughout the manicured grounds, everything was perfectly balanced and deeply calming, a reminder that thoughtful design combined with Balinese hospitality can create an instant sense of peace and wellbeing.

We stayed in a one bedroom pool villa designed for relaxation, privacy and connection with nature. The garden courtyard, canopied day bed and open air shower each delivered a generous slice of tropical luxury. Whilst the four poster bed, relaxing window seat and sunken bath bathed in natural light made the space feel calm and expansive. During both dawn and dusk our private pool reflected the tree silhouettes, the birdsong made us smile and we felt very much at home in our Balinese walled garden sipping sunrise turmeric lattes or sunset iced kombuchas. As each night arrived, it was easy to forget the world beyond our luxury villa walls, allowing us to drift into into a calming and restorative sleep that perfectly prepared us for the day ahead at REVĪVŌ.

The Vegan Food at REVĪVŌ Wellness Resort

Dining at NŪTRIŌ was a true highlight of our stay, with natural and healthy food with multiple dishes on their menus that were perfect for vegan and plant-based food loving travellers. The open air and poolside restaurant is the culinary beating heart of REVĪVŌ where we enjoyed all of our dining experiences, with our breakfasts starting with a selection of sour dough breads, homemade jams, turmeric lattes and freshly squeezed superfood juices. Main dishes included banana porridge with almond milk, cacao nibs and coconut flakes, scrambled tofu topped with kale and yellow zucchini, creamy avocado and rocket on toast (with an extra side of tofu scram) and even vegan cheese on toast which was a very pleasant surprise. There are now more and more artisanal purveyors of vegan cheese in Southeast Asia so it was great that the team at NŪTRIŌ have partnered with a local supplier to include this on their menus.

Heading back to NUTRIO for lunch each day, we feasted on dishes including an incredible vegan cheese board of five nut cheeses, pincho tempe satay, Aceh-spiced aubergine, traditional Indonesian gado-gado salad stacked with tempe and tofu, and their ‘Golden Jackfruit Delight’ dessert with jackfruit, coconut ice cream and coconut espuma. Special mention for the refined vegan cheese selection which comes from the team at TreeNut Cheezery and the ‘Golden Jackfruit Delight’ which was a dessert clearly made in heaven. The team were knowledgable about the menu and described each dish when serving, including the ingredients and answering any questions we may have had. Even though NŪTRIŌ is the only restaurant at REVĪVŌ, the range of plant-based food that was available made the stay feel completely vegan friendly, meaning that we were left smiling and satisfied after each and every meal.

The Vegan Essentials

At REVĪVŌ every detail represented wellness, mindfulness or conscious luxury. There were vegan aura sprays from Balipura and vegan aromatherapy products from Serasense in the spa, there were even plant-based leather handbags from Feodora Bali which further enhanced the carefully curated experience. Joining the daily classes at MOVEŌ yoga studio, luxuriating with a selection of REMISSIŌ spa treatments and experiencing neuro-relaxation therapy at the recently opened and state-of-the-art Vitality Centre added layers of regenerative wellness beyond our expectations. Back at our villa and surrounded by the singing birds, peaceful environment and refined luxury we were further reminded of the efforts that have been made at REVĪVŌ including sustainable initiatives such as glass bottled water and refillable ceramic dispensers, alongside kombuchas and infused waters in the mini bar for that extra layer of healthy living.
